Bagging San Jacinto Peak

I shamelessly made it to San Jacinto Peak. Nobody cheered for me when I got to the top. Everybody was savouring the special lunch that each brought all the way from San Diego driving more than 150 miles and gaining more than 10,000 feet elevation by tram and on foot.

I thought if Watson could do it, maybe I could as well. Watson actually did far better. If a Japanese snail had a feeling, I would feel like one. While on the trail alone with my thoughts, I thought of a trail name.
I take a shot at the glorious Holy Shih Tzu by the wilted pussy willows. Wilted Pussy for a trail name? How can any idiot pick such a disgusting trail name? Gross!
I assured Kay and Goeff I was okay and I would just catch up. I didn't want to break my bones from a snow mediated somersault stunt. The shoe crampons I got from Tim Alls helped a lot even if it gave my new Timberlands more  battle scars.
I caught up with the group on a junction. Or maybe the group was impatiently waiting for me to catch up. If the group would chose a trail name for me, I am sure they would tag me a the Slow Mofo
This Slow Mofo as in slow motherfucker would not give up. See that ice capped cone in the 12 o'clock position? That's the San Jacinto Peak! There's about 1,500 feet elevation more to go. I have done 500 feet from the tram station so far.
I was the last to get to the peak. There was no one to take my photo by the stone hut about a hundred yards from the peak. I had to have photos and proof that I made it to the peak.
It's a glorious Holy Shih Tzu day at San Jacinto Peak!
I reunited with Watson at the tram station at Palm Springs. We boarded the tram to go back the parking lot thinking that the whole group had gone ahead of us. I had to get someone from the crew in the lower station to page Kieth, the leader of the group after seeing Kay's message telling me that they were waiting for us in the upper station. I swore it would be the last time for me to join group hikes with the San Diego Outdoor Enthusiast Meet-up group.
