Cheap Hotel California

Since plucking myself into America, I learned that motel is short for mobile hotel. Back in my country of origin which a lot of fucked up flips who have also plucked themselves out of the country have so been fondly calling P.I., motels are for one-night stand quickies.  I am using the free-wifi in this cheap hotel California, seven miles away from my home address, and pretend that my home is in  Battleground, WA and RN and I are just visiting to be present at a significant milestone for the older daughter. The Godzilla room which is actually a hoarder's room has become part of my long-term memory and it no longer annoys me to think about it. And so is Ayeddis Vahkkendjaab!  I pretend I am here to revisit El Cajon Peak and ride the trolley into San Ysidro and crossover the border to look for Tijuana Zonkeys. Bloom where you're planted or go pluck yourself!

It's another yellow flower. More than four years ago, a yellow hibiscus marked my first post to this blog :  Go Pluck Yourself! Back then, I was still so much into gardening. I was also so engrossed with Facebook. Suddenly, I learned from my brother  that my sister Lourdes,  living in Turin, died. My youngest sister Fe had a public outcry  and repreresented the family mourning at Facebook and that was the time I vowed to myself that I had to pluck myself out of Facebook, temporarily, that is!  And from time to time when I couldn't help but flinch at mundane personal postings of acquaintances who'd want to let the world know how regular their fecal movements are coming.  Go pluck yourself became a journal of plucking myself out of my gardening and out of Facebook.
