Sweet!

I thought of Speaker' Corner and what's its name park as I savored the chocolate nougat that Yemi gave me. The Mars made in Slough, UK got me thinking of London which Yemi recently visited. Where on earth is Slough, UK? Google tells me it's 22 miles west of Central London. Yemi showed me a picture of Victoria. I remember Victoria, the transit center in Central London. I also remember Victoria, a nurse from West Ghana, Africa which I was reminded of when I first met Yemi. Yemi who is originally from Nigeria is the opposite of what I remember of Sister Vicky, a British passport holder who ruled the operating theater of Muhayl General Hospital in Abha, Assir Region in Saudi Arabia.. Yemi is a clinical mentor and can never be anybody's tormentor like Sister Vicky who once got me summoned to the office of the "modir", Mohammed Ali Khairi. What's its name park is Hyde Park. I compared Hyde Park to Central Park in NYC in terms of significance. The Centra...

Return to Cowles Mountain

It's about 7 weeks since my Cuyamaca screw up. Today is my first meetup group hiking since I caused Kellie's hike to turn around. I saw the posted hike to Pyle's Peak yesterday. Scott was the host and my friend Kay was signed up. Kay has been my hiking buddy since the BLT at Mount Laguna. I told her today that she has been my biggest hiking support..

The Coming out of Holy Shih Tzu

Very recently, Holy Shih Tzu, named after his ancestor Lao Tzu embarked on a travel.

Bi State Wandering

"Are we in Nevada yet?" We are at US 50 entering the hustle and bustle of South Lake Tahoe downtown and RN tells me I could tell we are no longer in California  as soon as we get to Nevada. I shut up and look up right  to the Sierra Nevada peaks briefly only gaze down left to have a better look of Lake Tahoe. I love California! "Thank you babe for bringing me to America!" I felt like singing. Oh beautiful, for spacious skies For amber waves of grain For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain We stayed at a motel in Stateline Nevada and for a moment ,  I felt lost in America. Lesbians, gays and bi state? This must be how it feels to drink LGB tea all your life. In California, people seem  take leisurely stroll to the outdoors to stay fit. In Stateline Nevada,  people seem oblivious that there is even a park nearby. Across the park in the eastern end of the state line  are Harrah's and Harvey's, two imposing cas...

Point Lobos State National Reserve

In scenic Carmel, California, life's a beach, so to speak. Richard, Karlee, Sarah, Alex, Audrey, Loy, Guillaume, Lucie, Matthieu and myself hiked PLSNR today. And yes, Holy Shih Tzu, too. Guillaume watched me took photos of the deer mother, deer father and the deer baby with Holy Shih Tzu in the background. "He is my traveling gnome", I told Guillaume. "Like Amelie, the French movie?" Of course, Guillaume who tried to greet everyone with the French way of greeting old friends or relatives knows well about Amelie, the French movie. Guillaume comes from Grenoble, France. Holy Shih Tzu takes the place of place of a traveling gnome. Holy Shih Tzu would have traveled together with Pha Khin Phat until this badass realized  that Pha Khin Phat was left behind, insane Diego! At Point Lobos, there are no territorial fights between harbor seals' advocates and beach users, none of such thing as the La Jolla Children's pool crap. The marine re...
