Hikers with a cause


I met up with another meetup group today. Hikers raising funds for children's cancer research?
Interesting! Daniel K did cry about children dying of cancer. A female hiker handed him a was of Kleenex to dry his tears. A 6 foot plus inches bald guy drying his tears over a child who died too soon.
I was a mere observer. I refused to be a participant in shedding a tear for those children. I could emphatize with the parents who had since celebrated the lives of their children they tried so hard to save. The tears of Daniel was out of place. Not on the trailhead of Daley Ranch.
It was an 8.5 mile hike in a loop. I did not want to hike alone. The meetup group was a way to hike safely.

I never returned the form committing myself to the cause of group with my credit card information.

NY to NJ on foot

George Washington Bridge. Bronx. Cabrini Boulevard. Washington Heights. 175th Street, Manhattan, NYC. Interstate 95 or I-95, the main interstate highway of the east coast. New York State Route Highway 9A. US Route 9. US Route 1. Fort Lee, New Jersey. Palisades Interstate Park, New Jersey. Tenshi's coming out

Tenshi comes out. Beyond gay terms, Tenshi takes the place of Holy Shi Tzu, the happy monkey tree sack buddha from the cordilleras of my homeland who has gone ahead, like lost or left behind on the trails. Tenshi means messenger from heaven in Japanese. The icon is a representation of the monks who are called "tenshin" at the Yokoji Zen Mountain Center near Idyllwild.  In Zen  Buddhism terms, Tenshi comes out in search of the bull. "In the pasture of this world, I endlessly push aside the tall grasses in search of the bull. Following unnamed rivers, lost upon the interpenetrating path of distant mountains, my strengths failing me and my vitality exhausted, I cannot find the bull. I only hear the locusts chirping through the forests at night."
